Notion Pro, Synergy, and RadioLog Systems – End of Support

Notion Pro, Synergy, and RadioLog Systems – End of Support

Please be aware of several important changes that will occur for our monitoring systems on 31st December 2021.

Notion Pro & Synergy Software:

As part of Ellab Monitoring Solutions Ltd continued commitment to Environmental Monitoring Solutions and our continued development and improvements to our software platform, we have decided to announce the impending “End of Support” for our Synergy and Notion Pro software platforms.

With the introduction of the EMS Software platform in 2018 integrating both the Hanwell Pro and Hanwell IceSpy hardware platforms into a single software suite, all of our development resources have been focused on the continued development and expansion of the EMS software, which is now causing the Synergy and Notion Pro software platforms to fall behind in the technologies utilised.

Although both systems are currently working well with the available infrastructure systems, Hanwell has stopped maintaining these software platforms and it is anticipated that their compatibility with new technologies will not be possible, potentially causing system failures in the future. We will no longer be able to maintain these older systems.

We are therefore giving notice that all support of the existing Synergy and Notion Pro installations will cease on 31/12/21, and no further development before that date will occur.

All Synergy and Notion Pro systems have EMS compatible hardware, and we are now looking to upgrade all existing systems to the latest EMS platform to ensure we are able to continue to maintain and support our customers systems.

What this means for you:

With all support for the Synergy and Notion Pro software platform being withdrawn on 31st December 2021 we kindly ask all customers who are currently using Synergy or Notion Pro to contact their local supplier to arrange a meeting to discuss their upgrade options.

Hanwell Pro Transmitter – Merge Date Roll Over Issue

From midnight on 31st December 2021, the start date in Hanwell Pro loggers and transmitters will roll back to 2006; this is due to the size of the variable used to store log start date in Hanwell Pro units. Users will not be able to merge data to any currently released software, for sensors synchronised after the 31st of December 2021.

EMS and Hanlog USB W200 are being updated with a software change to correct the issue, which will be released within the next few months. RadioLog and Synergy systems will continue to receive and display radio data going forward, but users will not be able to merge data from Hanwell Pro units.

Please note this issue does not affect backfill of other families, such as iSense, IceSpy or IceSpy Transport.

What this means for you:

Affected customers should upgrade Hanlog USB and EMS before the end of the year; customers still running RadioLog or Synergy should contact their Ellab, Hanwell, or distributor account manager, to arrange an upgrade to EMS.
