Temperature
Food preparation, refrigeration, cooking and packaging
Our HACCP temperature monitoring products assist with 24/7 commercial temperature monitor of storage areas, cooking processes and refrigeration control (fridges at 2°C – 8°C, freezers with temperatures down to -20°C, -30°C,- 40°C & -80°C). Temperature monitoring starts at the very beginning of any good food safety process and while our temperature monitoring systems can record fridges, freezers and cold rooms, the handhelds can be used during preparation and cooking processes.
At every possible stage, precautions should be taken to minimise the damage of foodstuffs pre/post production specifically during transportation to protect quality and stability using our wide range of temperature monitoring data loggers. Alternatively, the cost-effective temperature indicators can be affixed to packaging for instant notification if temperature boundaries have been breached.
Temperature & Humidity
Powered and fresh ingredients in dry storage
Humidity control is especially important when food is stored for long periods of time. It is recommended that 15% humidity or lower is maintained to avoid moisture in the air having destructive effects on the quality of the food in storage.
The Hanwell IceSpy with humidity sensor can be used to monitor storage conditions such as this and alert users when changes occur that exceed the pre-set boundaries which assist with HACCP temperature monitoring requirements.
Impact
Delicate foodstuffs and packaging
Combining impact and tilt detection throughout transportation can assist handlers in determining potential contamination as well as physical damage to goods upon delivery.
Our range of cost-effective, self-adhesive indicators affix directly to packaging for immediate and clearly visible notification of potential damage caused by impact or tilt. These state that they are a monitored shipment and change a handler’s behaviour, something that ‘fragile’ and ‘Keep Upright’ labels have stopped achieving.
Impact indicators come in a variety of different g-force levels from 25-100g depending on the shipment sensitivity. Likewise the tilt indicators come with a 10⁰, 30⁰ and 360⁰ axis indication.
