Main Purpose of the Job:

Reporting directly to the Account manager – Distributors, the Internal Account Manager for the Distributors will be required to assist in the support and management of the Hanwell Inc office and distributors and the Hanwell Solutions Canadian and South American Distributors and ensure their targets are met in line with the annual Strategic Business Plan.

One of the key objectives for the Internal Account Manager will be to maintain successful commercial relationships with all distributors, becoming the first point of contact for the distributor network and build strong relationships to ensure the long-term success of the distributor network.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Take appropriate steps to ensure that they are familiar with all aspects of the distributor network in order to maintain good business relations
  • Monitor and report on competitor activity within the sector and work closely with the International Sales Director to develop and implement appropriate strategies to protect existing business
  • To Process all Non-UK Distributor purchase orders on to the Priority ERP system in a timely manner and to liaise with the Distributors to resolve any discrepancies
  • Work closely with the Marketing team on any proactive sales campaign for the Distributor network and assist the Distributors with any specific marketing needs and support that Hanwell Solutions and Hanwell Inc can provide
  • Provide monthly financial data to the International Sales Director comparing the performance against budget
  • Provide ad hoc data on the Distributor network as required by the business
  • Contribute to the development and promotion of Hanwell Solutions and Hanwell Inc
  • Take an active part in quarterly Sales & Marketing meetings
  • Attend relevant product launches and Distributor meetings to promote the product range and identify potential opportunities for future development
  • Achieve agreed personal objectives that form part of the annual performance review
  • Make regular telephone communication with all existing and future Distributors and where appropriate assist with telephone marketing campaigns
  • Establish themselves as a source of knowledge of Hanwell products for the Distributor network
  • Provide back up and assistance as required by the Account Manager – Distributors, potentially covering all sectors of the business

Corporate & Financial responsibilities:

  • Assist the International Sales Director to manage and deliver their Sales budget and to meet strategic and operational business plans
  • Assist in embedding a commercial, client service focused approach to all business processes and activities
  • Undertake specific ad hoc tasks as asked from time to time by the International Sales Director

Knowledge & Experience

  • Have a good understanding of Account Management
  • A number of year’s relevant experience of Account management is essential, with a working knowledge of Distributors being beneficial
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential
  • A good working understanding of Maths, especially discounting and percentages
  • A good understanding of Geography and regional cultures would be beneficial

Working hours:

  • 37.5 hours a week
  • Monday to Friday 08:30 to 16:30
